has anybody of you already 'cleaned' his engine? i mean take everything out and let it look like just the engine is in...

does anybody have simple tips everybody can make to let his engine look more clean?

thnx

Hi,
i cleaned my engine this year a little bit. I took the mean-cable-tree (is it rihgt so?!  :? ) behind the fender (Kotflügel), i took completely the window-cleaner-bottle out and took a "Abdeckung" (polished V2A) over the engine-box (Steuergerät).

Oje... School really is long long ago...  :?

hi Melly,

there are some guys here, that had build the battery out of the engineroom in the cars inside or in the the boot (word 4 kofferraum???).

And there is a radiator, that works without the overflow-pot((kühler-)ausgleichbehälter).

Maybe, u can find something about that in the searchengine (Suche).
Gruß André

and what about cleaning the engine itself !?

making it shine intead of that rusty look ...

How did you extend the cables - or did you take other, longer cables?

MellyVille

thanks you all for the tips... it's trunk indeed  :)

well ofcourse i'm going to clean my engine completely to let it shine...

do you get through a TUV control without a window-cleaner working properly? if thats no problem, i'm taking that out too!!!

i would like to have more concrete tips, maybe with pictures, would be interesting for everybody i guess...

thanks sofar! (and greets from holland)

You won't pass the TÜV if you have no window cleaner .. sorry...
